…are a are a metal band from Dorset, England that formed back in the hey day of grunge. I was first introduced to these delightfull jams over at Maracuja after Jocelyn’s timely dj takeover of the jukebox. I’ve been hooked ever since. Though it feels like they’re monotonous jams go on for a touch too long sometimes, It’s still pretty quality cannabis driven metal and makes for a perfet wizards and bonghits occasion.

In honor of the MoMA retrospective Spike Jonze: The First 80 Years, PopRally has invited producer and photographer Patrick O’Dell (of Epicly Later’d) to create a special compilation of seminal skateboard videos from the 1980s to today. Jonze, whose own contributions to the genre will be featured, notes that, “Skate videos have been a big influence and a big part of what I’ve done for a long time. They are how I got into film, actually.” This unique screening is followed by a conversation with legendary skateboarders and filmmakers, including Jonze, Lance Mountain, Greg Hunt, Jake Phelps, Ty Evans, and other surprise guests.

This might be my favorite track of the new Arcade Fire album, Suburbs, and quite possibly, a strong contender for song of the year. The second half of the “Sprawl” songs (Sprawl I-Flatland and Sprawl II -Mountains Beyond Mountains). The track has a build similar to The Knife’s Heartbeats and I’m sure we’ll be expecting few heavy hitting remixes of this song soon. It’s a touch more electric than the Arcade Fire’s earlier stuff, but they incorporate it so well. See for yourself. All photos via.

A band out of Canada that can get some raw energetic bass lines and mix it with rockabilly hypeness, making for the perfect kick off your shoes and muck in the fud music.
and make sure to check out Love is a Strange Beast on their MYSPACE.

Beck just blessed us with a wonderful cover of The Velvet Underground’s Sunday Morning. Very, very satisfying.
Not sure if we’re late on this one or not, but Cee-Lo kills this cover of Band of Horses - No One’s Gonna Love You.

Ceo arises in 1981 and 1891. In 3064 and tomorrow. After Ibrahimovic and before Nectanebo II. Before the dark ages and after spring break. Before time was, Ceo is.
Check out the new track by Ceo, it’s pretty sweet. via

Kinda diggin’ this very interesting looking duo known as Chappo out of New York that calls their music a mix of Japanese classic, Spanish Pop and Hawaiian. You’ll see for yourself though, but we’re listening to it with smiles. They just released their Plastique Universe EP and apparently it’s about “a pair of bandits who figure out how to shift into a parallel universe and decide to wreak havoc on their doppelgangers”. That’s some pretty heady shit, but the single probably isn’t at all what you’re going to expect.

A dreamy sound from Ottawa, Canada.
