8/13/2010 - Medium-Rare

Homeboy Travess Smalley told me about this excellent little site. Medium-Rare was founded in 2008 with a generous grant from Barnard College in NY. They work with young artists and writers to publish work in affordable formats. Overall they provide a nice range of visuals to flip though, including Travess’. Enjoy!

What I Saw Today is a collection of quick, daily fashion illustrations done by Richard Haines in NYC. Not too familiar with that name? Not many people are. However he has worked with some of the biggest names in the biz including Calvin Klein, Bill Blass, Perry Ellis & Sean Combs (just to name a few). He also will be teaching a class on Quick Fashion Sketching at Parsons this summer, starting June 8th if you’d like to sign up. Click here for the info.

Another has fallen victim to the addictingly easy blog service. This time it’s tattoo craftsman and NY artist, Scott Campbell. Apparently Kevin convinced him, and aren’t we all glad he did. With a mix of celebs that he’s tatted as well as some fun travel pics, makes for a fun peek into the life of the artist/bridgerunner/Moto bike wheely puller. Check it out HERE.

The Selvedge Yard is an awesomely curated collection of badass that looks like what good whiskey tastes like and deisel fuel smells like. Touching several levels of vintage badassness, the blog brings to the surface some of the most influental vintage imagery and personalities of the past century. Covering everything from cars, rock and roll, film and babes. All this seen through a technicolor lense of cool. This blog is more than just a quick scroll, it’s a way of life. Enjoy.

11/27/2009 - Legolomaniac

Some how Legos have withstood the test of time as one of people’s favorite toys. With unlimited construction possibilities and struggling social life, it’s amazing what a few nerds can do with these little plastic connectors. From building reproductions of their favorite movie moments, to making fantastic portraits, or even a life-size house. Well if this is your cup of tea then you should make sure to check out Brothers Brick. Its a blog dedicated to the people around the world with one related obsession. Legos. Make sure to check out the video below, its pretty fucking amazing even if your not into logos.
